Orlando on a budget: Limited Edition Star Wars MagicBands
By Helen Wright
Whether it is your first time to Orlando or your 21st visit, setting a budget and searching for top Orlando money-saving tips and brilliant deals should be at the top of the priority list. I always recommend AttractionTickets.com for Orlando theme park tickets, as they combine competitive deals with lots of added extras and have a solid reputation in the UK.
Even if you are planning the holiday of a lifetime, and so no expense will be spared, saving a bit of cash on the big theme parks, like Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World and SeaWorld, means you’ll have extra pocket money to spend when you get to Florida. I love a bargain and, trust me, there are plenty of bargain ticket deals to be had for Orlando year round, you just need to know where to look and when to buy. Attractiontickets.com have brilliant deals that change every month and for January 2020 – especially if you are a Star Wars fan – this could be a great time to buy.
WHY IT’S BEST TO BOOK YOUR ORLAND TICKETS IN ADVANCE
As I explain in my guide to buying Orlando park tickets, booking in advance is key. Being properly prepared, with your tickets in hand, saves you money and time when you get to Florida. Choosing an authorised and respected seller means you can purchase with confidence and assurance that you are getting the real deal. This means, legitimate park passes that are authentic and properly issued.
What is January’s attractiontickets.com limited edition Star Wars MagicBand deal?
I have been recommending AttractionTickets.com a UK-based ABTA-approved agent, in all my guides to Orlando for a few years now. As they have a longstanding relationship with the major theme parks, including Walt Disney World, this also means they can offer exciting deals and limited edition extras. One such deal for the month of January 2020,is that anyone buying Disney’s Ultimate Ticket will get an exclusive and limited edition Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge MagicBand – only available from attraction tickets.com. Plus, money saving Orlando tip alert: the deal also includes adults for kids prices, 14 days for the price of 7 and and Disney’s Memory Maker included!
If you don’t know how Disney’s MagicBands work, I explain how to use them in my Orlando Frequently Asked Questions post. In short, these iconic wristbands hold all your Disney adventures – from entry tickets to reserved FastPasses, dining and drinks deals and your personal Memory Maker (linked to your My Disney Experience) app. You can also pay for things in the park and have it all billed back to your hotel room if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

How to choose what to do in Orlando
If you’ve never been to Orlando before and have no idea where to start, our popular two-week guide to Orlando sample itinerary is a good place to start. Or, for an explanation on how tickets work and which ones are best for your party, our guide to buying Orlando theme park tickets is here.
We at passportstamps.uk have spent a lot of time in Orlando over the last few years and these are some of our favourite things to do:
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World.
You don’t have to be a die-hard Star Wars fan to love Galaxy’s Edge. The attention to detail, character theming and interactive attractions make this part of Walt Disney World fun for all the family.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando
This iconic world, inside both Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure is a quirky and colourful journey into the story of everyone’s favourite wizard. From some of our favourite rides (Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and Escape from Gringotts), to quality theming with no stone left unturned and a few magical surprises along the way – Universal Orlando is now a must-see destination in Orlando.
Discovery Cove is so popular but due to the limited capacity it never gets over-crowded and often feels like the best kept secret in Orlando. Here you can swim with dolphins, tropical fish and stingray, relax on a sprawling beach and even go scuba diving with sharks. Surprises with a splash.
