Don’t worry: You will still be able to do Princess Dining at Disneyland Paris
By Helen Wright
On August 10th 2023, Disney announced it will no longer be offering guests a much-loved Disneyland Paris Princess Dining experience. This will come as a shock to fans who have been planning to book a table at popular restaurant, Auberge de Cendrillon ahead of their visit.
Changes to the character breakfast and Princess dining at Disneyland PARIS
Character interactions at Disney are some of the most popular things to do in the Parks and meeting the likes of Elsa, Aurora and Cinderella is a must for fans of the Classic movies. In fact, booking restaurants at Disneyland Paris is notoriously difficult and character breakfasts are among the most sought-after reservations to snag once you have your park tickets.
Advanced dining reservations open 60 days before your visit and the Princess Dining Disneyland Paris restaurant, Auberge de Cendrillon, is the hardest restaurant to book. We have done character dining with the princesses, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey and Friends and every time it has been a holiday highlight. They are not the cheapest way to eat at Disney, but a unique and special way to treat yourself and your family.
On our last trip, we enjoyed a Disneyland Paris Princess breakfast at Auberge de Cendrillon and loved the experience. It woud have been one of my top recommendations, BUT Disney have just delivered some shocking news…
Disney cancel a beloved Princess Dining Disneyland Paris experience
Despite being one of the most popular character interactions at the park, Disney have announced they will no longer be offering a Princess Breakfast at Disneyland Paris. In August 2023, Disneyland Paris informed guests they will not be able to have a breakfast with the princesses once this summer season has finished. From September 27th 2023, the breakfast with Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White and other beloved Princesses will no longer be available.
In a shock move, guests that already have reservations for the famous breakfast at Auberge de Cendrillon will have their tables cancelled. Disney have said they will contact guests to inform them of the change.
We had a Disneyland Paris Princess Breakfast just last month and had the most magical time. I booked the breakfast, which is €60 (£51) for adults and €40 (£35) for children, as a special treat for Isobel’s 4th birthday and she loved it. I’m so sad that Disneyland Paris have decided to cancel Princess breakfast!
However, DON’T WORRY – YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY PRINCESS DINING AT Disneyland Paris
Before you get too disappointed at the news that Disney cancels the princess breakfast at Disneyland Paris, there is still an opportunity to dine with the Princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon, so all is not lost. However, you will still need to puchase your park tickets for Disneyland Paris in advance.
Even though a Princess Breakfast at Disneyland Paris is no more, guests will still be able to book a character meal with the princesses for both lunch and dinner at Auberge de Cendrillon. This is good news for Disney fans visiting the park from October 2023 but there is a downside. The Disneyland Paris Princess breakfast was the most affordable Princess dining option in the park. With breakfast coming to over £100 for just me and Isobel, the lunch and dinner service is priced significantly higher.
Dining with the princesses at Disneyland Paris
Auberge de Cendrillon is table service restaurant with a price-fixe menu, so it’s a set price no matter how little you eat. This can be off-putting for parents with fussy eaters, especially at lunch and dinner time. Dinner and Lunch with the Princesses at Disneyland Paris is priced at €95 for adults and €50 for kids. This means, without the less expensive Princess breakfast option, a character dining experience at Auberge de Cendrillon just got significantly more expensive.
I still recommend the princess dining at Disneyland Paris as we have a lovely time. It was more about Isobel’s joy at meeting Rapunzel, Ariel and Cinderella than the food. It’s a wonderful experience for a special occasion and I have friends who have booked the lunch and dinner at Auberge de Cendrillon and said it’s fantastic.
You can still meet the princesses at Disneyland Paris
You will still be able to meet the princesses at Disneyland Paris, along with other characters, at various locations around the parks. The place to meet Princesses will be at the Princess Pavillion in Disneyland Park.
There has been no official information from Disney on this, but one reason for the Princess breakfast cancellation at Auberge de Cendrillon could be due to the reopening of the grand Disneyland Hotel, Disneyland Paris’ most fancy resort. This gorgeous pink hotel stands at the entrance to Disneyland Park and has been closed for a year while a huge renovation is underway inside. The new rooms and theme of the hotel are rumoured to be ‘Princess’ themed… so there is a very likely chance that breakfast with the Princesses will be returning to Paris in 2024.
You may be disappointed that a morning Auberge de Cendrillon reservation is not going to be available after September 2023 but there are so many magical things to do at Disneyland Paris, you will have a wonderful time. Follow us on Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook for more updates.
