There is a reason that Disneyland Paris is the most visited tourist attraction in the whole of France. Crush’s Coaster is one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris

This is not just one of the best Disneyland Paris rides, it’s one of the best rides from all the Disney theme parks across the world – I love it! This ride is possibly the attraction Disneyland Paris is known for, not found in any other Disney parks. Originally opening in 2007, Crush’s Coaster was one of the original spinning coasters and it’s such a fun ride. The concept is that you’re following Crush on an adventure through the currents of the Pacific Ocean like in the film Finding Nemo. With the spinning, swaying and surprise turns, it really does feel like that too! I laughed the whole way around. It’s such a great coaster and my favourite attraction as well as being one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Railroad (and its various other names) is a classic Disney attraction, featuring at every Disney Resort worldwide – but the one at Paris is the best! Easily a contender for one of the best Disneyland Paris rides, this attraction is the longest Thunder Mountain of them all, with a track that is over 1.5 miles long, lasting four minutes. I like the fact it is thrilling without being too scary for younger guests. There are some really fun hills and bends, with a few surprises in there too. Plus, you also get a great view of the park from the top. Best rides at disneyland paris

Space Mountain / Hyperspace Mountain – One of the classic Disneyland Paris rides

Again, Paris for the win when it comes to Space Mountain! Whilst I love the original Space Mountain at Walt Disney World, this modernised version opened in 1995 and is a less bumpy, more G-force version of the ride – which also happens to go upside down (something the original ride does not). In a fun twist, Space Mountain is sometimes transformed into ‘Hyperspace Mountain’, and given a Star Wars theme for limited periods. Space Mountain is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides for thrill seekers, being one of only three coasters in the combined parks, so be sure not to miss! Best rides at disneyland paris.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

You can’t miss The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the spooky Hollywood Hotel can be seen from everywhere in the parks and is loved the world over as well as being one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris too. Step into a haunted hotel where guests check-in but never leave… This brilliantly themed, sudden drop lift ride is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides and one of the most loved attractions across all the Disney parks. As you’re seated in a ‘creeky’ lift, you are taken to the top of the tower and treated to spectacular views of Disneyland Paris before being suddenly dropped to the basement. It’s a hoot and even the hardest theme park riders (me) can’t help but scream their head off on this one. In fact, screams can be heard all the way over in Disneyland Park. Do you dare?

Ratatouille: The Adventure (the best Disneyland Paris ride for families)

disney world 2021
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a hit at Disneyland Paris (Image: Carlos)

The original Ratatouille ride, this attraction is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides for families, as guests of any age can ride – even babies! Now replicated in the France Pavilion at Walt Disney World as ‘Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure’, this Disneyland favourite has everything you’ll want from a modern theme park attraction. The concept is that guests shrink to the size of a rat and chase around Gusteau’s kitchen in a mad dash to not get caught. It’s a 4D adventure, so as well as giant HD graphics, there are some ‘real world’ elements too. The whole thing takes place on a magnetic track (what’s known as a trackless coaster), so the cars move freely around the track, giving a real feeling of darting around like a tiny rat. I even love the queue line for this attraction, which takes you up and over the rooftops of Paris. SO cute.

TOP TIP: Outside Ratatouille: The Adventure, you will find a line of Parisan food stalls, serving some of my favourite snacks at Disneyland Paris. See our list of the best food to sample at the parks (including from this area) on this post.

RC Racer

The Toy Story area of Walt Disney Studios Park has some of the best rides at Disneyland Paris, It is so well done, designed to make you feel the size of a toy, as you join Buzz, Woody and pals for some fairground fun. RC Racer is a simple, yet super fun ride that is one of everyone’s best rides at Disneyland Paris. A sort of modern, Pirate ship-style ride, climb into RC as he rolls back and forth until you get so high it feels like you might fly off the end! This one is almost as much fun to watch as it is to ride. Spotting the riders who are screaming and clinging on for dear life is entertainment in itself – making it one of my favourite Disneyland Paris rides.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups – one of the original Disneyland Paris rides

Oh, come on! This has to be one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris for nostalgia reasons. It’s not a Disney holiday without a ride in the classic spinning Tea Cups – an attraction Walt Disney was able to ride himself (although not at Disneyland Paris, the scope of which was probably outside even his imagination). This easy-going, carefree ride embodies the spirit behind the original Disney parks and captures the magic that Walt Disney was trying to achieve from the start. This is one of the best Disneyland Paris rides because it gives families a chance to laugh, squeal and enjoy together – and that’s what’s it’s all about, right?

New rides at Disneyland Paris –  Avengers Assemble: Flight Force

Avengers Assemble Flight Force (Image: Disney)

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is a reimagined attraction, using the former coaster and track from Rock and Roller Coaster, which closed in 2019. The new theming takes this Disneyland Paris coaster to a new level, sending guests into the world of Marvel at 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds. Riders experience up to 5Gs and whiz through three inversions, which include a sea serpent roll and a corkscrew. If you don’t know what that is, you’re just going to have to ride it and find out. Hold on to your capes as this is one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris!

Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure (now one of the best rides at Disneyland Paris)

best disneyland paris rides
Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (Image: Disney)

The other Marvel-themed ride to open at Avengers Campus is a completely new Disneyland Paris ride. Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure (W.E.B standing for ‘Worldwide Engineering Brigade’) is similar to WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man adventure at Disney California Adventure, where guests inherit web-slinging superpowers to help capture the out-of-control Spider-Bots (Peter Parker’s robot sidekicks) – before they wreak havoc on the Campus. The innovative technology responds to body movements and gestures, so it’s a really clever way to immerse guests in the story. Riders young and old will love it and there is no height requirement for this attraction, so it’s a perfect family attraction and a Marvel-ous addition to our list of the best Disneyland Paris rides!
